Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Assembles appropriated sized wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers
• Attaches shipping instructions
• Loads and unloads trucks in a timely manner
• Operates lift trucks, hand trucks and cranes following all safety rules
• Examines incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure shipment meets specifications
• Reports any defect, damage or discrepancy to Supervisor
• Weighs materials or products and records weights
• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated locations or work areas
• Loads and unloads material onto pallets, trays, shelves and carts and process paper work as instructed
• Reports any part shortages to supervisor to expedite parts
• Verifies location of materials and updates locations as needed
• Follows all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general degree (GED); or one to three months experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing and UPS software.
